We created and coded a fictional e-commerce site called Simetría for a school project. It was a store where big artists could sell their merchandise and varied products to their large audience.

The primary goal
Our goal was to create a user friendly and professional looking e-commerce website oriented towards art enthusiasts who follow big instagram and twitter artists. Said artists would sell their goods in a big and high-traffic website. We had to make it look simple yet attractive.

Why does the final design look like this?
The colors used in this project are modern and pretty muted which helps people focus more on the colorful merchandise of the diverse artists included in the store as well as their bios. A lot of visual distractions may get the costumer to direct their attention elsewhere, defeating the purpose of the merchandise being the main attraction. We also made sure that the colors used would have a good amount of readability.
Most buttons and fields are slightly rounded, keeping up with the modern look that it's trying to be achieved.
